By Victoria Martell, Age 8
I awoke one morning,
Looked outside and found
Snowflakes falling
On the ground
Can you imagine?
My surprise
I screamed with delight
You could hear my cries
I found my snowsuit
As fast as I could
I love these snow days
This would be good
I opened my mouth
And stuck out my tongue
They taste like cold sprinkles
It is fun fun fun
I love the snowflakes
I watch them twirl
I fall like an angel
My arms in a swirl
I love their look
They are bright white
Then next thing I think of
Is a snowball fight
They sparkle and twist
And spin in the sky
My mom calls me in
I give a big sigh
I wasn’t quite done
I’ll give you a hint
My boots in the snow
Make big stomping footprints
I got in the house
The best day for sure
The hot chocolate is ready
I give it a stir
I love the snowflakes
They are so beautiful
So bright and clean
And Oh so wonderful
